In my daily life I am furniture and tableware designer, but my favourite way to start the day is by making breakfast for the guests of the Amadi Park Hotel.
Time after time I challenge myself to make the perfect omelet and to make sure everyone is starting the day with a smile.
As a design historian I write about design and architecture for magazines, museums and designers. It’s theoretical work that I perform alone behind a computer screen. My work as a breakfast-chef is an enjoyable distraction, especially when I see guests enjoying our organic buffet.
Like Peter, I too work behind my computer screen, as a website designer and social media genie. I love complementing my solitary digital work with practical, hands-on work as a breakfast-chef. It’s a different kind of satisfaction when, for example, I make a beautiful pancake that someone is immediately enjoying – a great start of my day.
